AC/DC Houston Concert reviews
Axl/DC kicked total caboose!
Really glad I got to see this and take my 16 year old. He will probably never see anything quite like that again. Axl Rose in AC/DC practically makes them a SuperGroup, and they sure lived up to it. Angus was as great as ever, and Axl is probably better than ANYONE still active in rock his age+. He carried notes that Brian just could not have, but nor could others like Joe Elliot, Vince Neil, etc. from what I have heard in other concerts I have gone to in recent years. It would have been awesome of course to see 'original' AC/DC but I think Axl there really just made it that much better. He has certainly rehabbed his image, drastically and deservedly, in the past year between this and reuniting with Slash for GNR to tour as well.
Anyway, great stuff, only sad note is I really believe now is the last great gasp of classic hard rock- these guy are just all getting too old and dying off, lets face it. The next 5 years or so may still have a few more great things like this but it just can't be for much longer than that. Its a shame my grandchildren anyway I am convinced will never get to experience it, but at least my own kids have some. They can tell them about it.
